Our Policies: 

We believe that everyone has the right to work, to compete, to train, to learn and to play in a safe and inclusive environment that is free from abuse, harassment, or discrimination. The welfare of everyone is a shared responsibility that must be to foremost consideration of all. The SPA Total Fitness Centre will not tolerate violence or threats of violence including but not limited to any acts of physical assault, verbal assault or attempts to intimidate others. Those demonstrating inappropriate behaviour will be declined entry or be asked to leave and may result in cancellation of access and/or may be banned from the facility.  

In the Gym: 

• Always wipe down equipment and return to its original location after use. 
• No dropping or banging weights. 
• 30-minute time limit on all cardio machines. 
• No gym bags permitted- please store in locker room. 
• Shoes are mandatory in the weight room and squash courts. 
• Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Lost or Stolen Items: 

• Day lockers (lockers with a brown stripe at the top) are available at no cost for members to lock their personal belongings.  
• We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. 
• Any personal belongings kept in a day locker will be removed from the locker and stored in the lost and found. Members can rent lockers for an additional fee. 

Membership Policies: 

• If you are going out of province or cannot use the gym for medical reasons, you have the option to freeze your one-year membership for a minimum of two (2) months and a maximum of six (6) months.  
• Memberships on a monthly payment plan, must provide a two-week notice to freeze their memberships. 
• Memberships can only be frozen once per membership term. 
• All cancellations on memberships that have been paid in full are subject to a $60 administration fee. 
• Membership cancellations on a monthly payment plan must provide a 30-day written notice. 
• Memberships on a monthly payment plan will automatically renew unless a 30-day written notice is provided. 
• Fees taken out during the 30-day notice will not be refunded. 
• Lockers are non-refundable.   

Changeroom Policies:

• The SPA Total Fitness Centre is a safe space for people of all genders. We respect everyone’s right to choose the locker room that corresponds with their gender identity. 
• Proper conduct and respectful behaviour are expected. Disrespectful conduct and communication, not limited to harassment, threats or abusive, aggressive, inappropriate or hostile behaviour, will not be tolerated. Failure to comply may result in immediate suspension or loss of membership. 
• Inappropriate cell phone use is strictly prohibited in the locker rooms and under no circumstances are phones to be used in any way which utilizes the camera feature. 
• Our locker rooms welcome gender diverse individuals as part of our commitment to an inclusive, respectful and welcoming community. Private change stalls are also available in all locker rooms. 
• We support everyone’s right to use a washroom or locker room aligned with their gender identity, please trust that every person belongs there.
